Eligar serves as a Research Professor with the Center for Space Studies at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, and as Editor of Astropolitics. Previously, Eligar held professorships in Space and Defense Studies at the College of Aerospace Sciences at the University of North Dakota and at the United States Air Force Academy, and worked for Lockheed-Martin as a Space Systems Engineer. He also served as a Research Associate with the Eisenhower Center for Space and Defense Studies at the Air Force Academy and with the Space Policy Institute at George Washington University.
